Our best tips for ring shopping

  • If you are between sizes, order the larger size.

  • Different types of rings have different fits. There’s narrow band rings and wider band rings. When buying a wide band ring (a signet ring for example) move up half -or a full size from your measurement, for comfort’s sake.

  • Remember that the ring must be able to go over your knuckle.

figuring out your ring size

Keep in mind that your fingers vary in size during the day depending on several factors, like temperature and humidity. Therefore, it is recommended to measure your finger at the end of the day, when it is likely the largest. Also, the same finger might differ in ring size for your left and right hand, so make sure to measure the finger that you are planning to wear the ring on.

There’s two ways to find out your ring size:

  1. Go to a jeweller / goldsmith and get measured.

  2. Measure at home. There’s a lot of “how to” guides on the internet and you can also buy measuring bands especially made to find your ring size.

Don’t give up - rIngs made from precious metal can be fitted by a jeweller / goldsmith.
